CANIM LAKE BAND

The Canim Lake Band has a registered population of approximately 600 people with a larger proportion of its members living on-reserve than off than any of the four Northern Secwepemc te Qelmucw bands.  The reserve resides close to Forest Grove and is about a 45 minute from 100 Mile House.

The Canim Lake Band often form a large contingent of those who participate in the Unity Ride, which is held annually. Currently, Canim Lake is striving for self-determination in their governmental programs and services. It is home to the beautiful Eliza Archie Memorial School. In addition, the Canim Lake Indian Band offers a post-secondary support program to its members where several of their band members finished their degrees.
